News From Where I Stand CD Hits Stores Oct. 21; Encore Engagement Nov. 12-14 The original cast recording of From Where I Stand, a new musical revue by Albert M. Tapper, hits stores Oct. 21.

The release of the CD (Original Cast Records) comes just a few week's before the show's encore engagement at the West Bank Cafe's Laurie Beechman Theatre. Produced by Jamie deRoy and directed by Edie Cowan, From Where I Stand will play the intimate theatre Nov. 12-14 for three performances only. Show time is 8 PM.

From Where I Stand concerns a veteran bartender at the Carlyle Hotel’s Bemelman’s Bar who encounters an eclectic array of New Yorkers, including “neurotic barflies, frustrated renters, Sondheim haters and Sinatra fanatics, ex-con executives, thwarted lovers and even a surprise celebrity or two.” The cast includes Smokey Joe’s Cafe’s Kim Cea, Bill Dyszel, Brian Kuchta, The Water Cooler’s Adam Mastrelli and Debra Pitkin.

The creative team comprises Lanny Meyers (musical direction), Edward Gianfrancesco (set design), Mary Ellen Winston (costume consultant) and Mason Swearingen (technical direction).
