News Full Casting Announced for West End's Privates on Parade, Inaugural Production of the Michael Grandage Company Full casting has been announced for the West End's new production of Privates on Parade, which inaugurates the Michael Grandage Company's season at the Noel Coward Theatre, beginning performances Dec. 1 prior to an official opening Dec. 10, for a run through March 2, 2013.

Joining the previously announced Simon Russell Beale as Acting Captain Terri Dennis are Chris Chan (Lee), Sophiya Haque (Sylvia Morgan), Harry Hepple (Lance Corporal Charles Bishop), Mark Lewis Jones (Sergeant-Major Reg Drummond), John Marquez (Corporal Len Bonny), Brodie Ross (Leading Aircraftman Eric Young-Love), Sam Swainsbury (Flight-Sergeant Kevin Cartwright), Joseph Timms (Private Steven Flowers), Sadao Ueda (Cheng) and Angus Wright (Major Giles Flack).

Privates on Parade, which is written by Peter Nichols with music by Denis King, is directed by Michael Grandage, with designs by Christopher Oram, lighting by Paule Constable, musical direction by Jae Alexander, choreography by Ben Wright, and sound design by Terry Jardine and Nick Lidster.

In the play, Private Steven Flowers is posted to the Song and Dance Unit in South East Asia where serving under the flamboyant Captain Terri Dennis he discovers it takes more than just a uniform to become a man.
