Fun Home, which won the 2015 Tony Award as Best Musical, is celebrating its one-year anniversary on Broadway this week. The show has given 415 performances (so far) at the Circle in the Square Theatre, and recently welcomed three-time Tony nominee Rebecca Luker to the cast as Helen, the mother, while Judy Kuhn is recuperating from hip surgery.

The show made history during its first year, becoming the first Broadway musical written by women to win the Best Musical Tony, and the first Tony-winning musical to have a lesbian as its main character. During its first year the show was named a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, celebrated the Supreme Court’s decision on marriage equality, and welcomed U.N. Ambassador Samantha Power and 17 U.N. ambassadors from other nations that had passed laws that limited gay rights. It was also the first show of the 2014-15 season to recoup financially.

To celebrate this milestone, three of the show's Tony Award winners, composer Jeanine Tesori, librettist Lisa Kron and director Sam Gold, will have their portraits added to the walls of Sardi's theatrical restaurant April 21.

For the public, a free download of a special arrangement of “Changing My Raincoat,” a mash-up of two songs from the show performed by Joel Perez and Roberta Colindrez, has been made available at eepurl.com/bYrby9.

In addition to Luker, the current cast of Fun Home includes two-time Tony Award winner Michael Cerveris, 2015 Tony Award nominee Beth Malone, Lauren Patten, Gabriella Pizzolo, Roberta Colindrez, Cole Grey, Zell Steele Morrow, Joel Perez, along with Alessandra Baldacchino, Kally Duling, Maya Grace Fischbein, Perry Sherman, Jim Stanek and Nicole Van Giesen.

A North American tour is scheduled to launch in Cleveland, OH, in October 2016, and play major cities including Chicago, St. Louis, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Los Angeles and many more.

Broadway tickets can be ordered via Telecharge.com, by calling (212) 239-6200, or in person at the Circle in the Square Theatre box office on 50th Street near Eighth Avenue.

Fun Home is produced on Broadway by Fox Theatricals (Kristin Caskey, Mike Isaacson) and Barbara Whitman, along with Carole Shorenstein Hays, Tom Casserly, Paula Marie Black, Latitude Link, Terry Schnuck/Jack Lane, The Forstalls, Nathan Vernon, Mint Theatricals, Elizabeth Armstrong, JAM Theatricals and Delman Whitney.
