Farah Alvin takes on the role of Fanny Brice in the classic Broadway musical Funny Girl, which begins performances July 21 at Pennsylvania's Gretna Theatre.

Alvin (Broadway's The Look of Love, Nine) is joined by Carolann Page (Candide) as Mrs. Brice, Rusty Reynolds (Miss Saigon) as Eddie Ryan and Samuel Perwin as Nicky Arnstein.

Dennis Courtney directs the musical with a score by Jule Styne and Bob Merrill and a book by Isobel Lennart. Funny Girl will run through July 31.

The cast also includes Jay Miffoluf, Sara Zentmeyer, Lena Rodriguez, Samuel Perwin, Jef Canter, Gretchen Enterline, Natalie Giovan, Gabi Haines, Dannie Lane, Jack Panyard, Katie White, Todd Berkich, Joe Byrne, Amani Dorn, Beth Dunham, Regan Featherstone, LeaRae Frenock, Cara Giambrone, Mark D. Lingenfelter, Guy Mandia, Jr., Tim Osgood, Emma Ritchie, Ashley Rubin, Erin Rye, Diane Schwan, Jack Scott and Chaz Wolcott.

Funny Girl has choreography by Judy Williams Henry, music direction by Louis F. Goldberg, scenic design by Peter Martino, lighting design by Nathan C. Gray, costume design by Janell Berte and sound design by Jamie LaJoie III.

The historic professional theatre, founded as part of the Chautauqua Movement in the late 1800's, featured early-career performances by Bernadette Peters, Barbara Walsh and Faith Prince and has played host to concerts from veterans Kaye Ballard and the late Laurie Beechman.
