Rolando Villaz‹n previously withdrew from the same production due to acute laryngitis. Dimitri Pittas took over his remaining dates and will perform Nemorino April 15 and 18. Joseph Calleja, as scheduled, sings the role at the closing performance.

The young American soprano earned international attention as the 2005 winner of the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Competition. Next season, she returns to the Met as Musetta in La Bohme.

Conducted by Maurizio Benini, the cast of L'Elisir d'Amore also features Franco Vassallo as Belcore and Simone Alaimo as Dulcamara.
