News God of Carnage, With a Cast of DC Favorites, Opens at Arlington's Signature April 17 The Washington, DC-area premiere of Yasmina Reza's God of Carnage opens April 17 at Signature Theatre in Arlington, VA, boasting a cast of DC performers including Helen Hayes Award winners Naomi Jacobson (Richard II at Shakespeare Theatre Company and Vigils at Woolly Mammoth Theatre) and Andy Brownstein (Assassins at Signature).

Paul Morella (Angels in America at Signature) and Vanessa Lock (Nest and In the Absence of Spring at Signature) are also featured. Helen Hayes Award winner Joe Calarco (Urinetown, Assassins and Side Show at Signature) directs the dark comedy about parents misbehaving. It runs to June 24. Previews began April 10.

The French play, translated by Christopher Hampton, won the Tony Award as Best Play in 2009.

God of Carnage's creative team features James Kronzer (scenic design), Kathleen Geldard (costume design), Colin K. Bills (lighting design) and Matt Rowe (sound design).
