Jeremy Kushnier, the guy with those trademark Footloose sideburns, will celebrate the upcoming release of his first CD, “In Time,” March 27 at NYC’s China Club, with an evening spent singing his own work. Joshua Wade joins him for the performance. Kushnier made a splash on Broadway as Ren McCormick in Footloose, a role for which he was Helen Hayes and Outer Critics Circle Award nominated. A native Canadian, he performed in the Toronto companies of Rent and The Who's Tommy.

Part of the evening's proceeds will go to Variety - The Children's Charity. Now in their 51st year, Variety's New York City "Tent" ( a show business charity; Variety uses traveling show terms) raises funds for hospitals, services for the disabled and programs like the Boys and Girls Club and camping trips for children with cancer.

Tickets are $45 ($35 for theatrical union members). The China Club is located at 268 W. 47th Street. Reservations can be made by calling (212) 398-3800 or in person at the China Club.
