"Tony Kushner brings his sophisticated style and breathtaking language to the French Baroque's most powerful romance," according to Court notes. "A father's attempt to find his estranged son raises the curtain on a world of theatrical magic, outrageous humor and true, complicated love."
The cast will include Kevin Gudahl, Timothy Edward Kane, Elizabeth Ledo, John Reeger, Kareem Bandealy, Michael Mahler and Hillary Clemens.
Opening at the Court will be March 20. Corneille's L'Illusion Comique, written in French verse, was penned around 1635.
Kushner is the Tony Award-winning, Pulitzer Prize-honored playwright of Angels in America; Caroline, or Change and Homebody Kabul, among others.
