Hal Linden stars as Sandor in Ferenc Molnar's The Play's the Thing, opening May 12 at the El Portal Center's mainstage for a three-week run. Everett Chambers directs P. G. Wodehouse's adaptation of the play, which intertwines romance and intrigue when two Broadway luminaries accompany their protege to an Italian villa to visit his fiance.Linden won a Tony Award for his performance in The Rothchilds. He has appeared on Broadway and throughout the country in numerous plays and musicals, but is undoubtedly best known for his portrayal of detective Barney Miller in the TV series of the same name.
