PlayBlog Hasselhoff and Henner Lead "Glee" Tribute at the TV Land Awards (Video) The TV Land Awards, broadcast April 25, presented a special tribute to “Glee,” which was honored with a Future Classic Award.


An all-star roster of talent from classic television, many of whom have theatre credits, performed a rousing rendition of “Glee”’s signature song, Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin.’” The lead vocal honors went to David Hasselhoff, of Jekyl and Hyde and the Las Vegas edition of The Producers (and “Baywatch,” “Knight Rider” and “America’s Got Talent”), and Marilu Henner, of The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife and Chicago (and “Taxi” and “Evening Shade”).

The song’s backup singers included Todd Bridges, Joyce DeWitt, Jamie Farr, Marla Gibbs, Howard Hesseman, Shirley Jones, Richard Karn, Richard Moll, Marion Ross, Jimmie Walker, Marcia Wallace and Fred Willard.

Other award recipients included Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner, who were jointly honored with the Legend Award; the sitcom “Bosom Buddies,” which was recognized for its 30th anniversary in an award accepted by cast members including Tom Hanks, recent Playbill.com celebrity blogger Peter Scolari and Holland Taylor; “Charlie’s Angels,” which received the Pop Culture Award; “Everybody Loves Raymond,” winner of the Impact Award; and Blondie, who took home the Icon Award.
