News Hollywood's Kodak Theatre Has Full Monty, Oliver! and Joseph... in 2003-04 Hollywood, California's Kodak Theatre — known to most as the home of the Academy Awards ceremonies — will launch a new musical series this fall featuring The Full Monty, Oliver!, Direct from Vegas - The Rat Pack and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

"The beautiful Kodak Theatre is the perfect place for musicals," stated Joseph Henson, president of Theatrical Arts — who along with Sunwoo Entertainment will present the new series at the 3,400-seat venue located on Hollywood Blvd. and Highland Ave. Kicking off the inaugural season will be the national tour of The Full Monty, Oct. 8-12. Cameron Mackintosh's new production of Oliver! will play next, Dec. 2-7. The Canadian touring production Direct from Vegas - The Rat Pack brings Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr. and Dean Martin back (not literally) to Hollywood, Jan. 13-18, 2004. Concluding the season is Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, April 13-18, 2004.

The Kodak Theatre, which opened in November of 2001, has hosted various events including the American Ballet Theatre's The Nutcracker, Sesame Street Live, Blues Clues Live, concerts by such artists as Barbra Streisand, Prince, Stevie Wonder, Barry Manilow and Elvis Costello as well as the "American Idol" finale, the ESPY Awards, the Latin Grammy Awards and the Los Angeles theatrical Ovation Awards.
