Valley Song is the story of a young lady longing to experience life without limitations but restrained by an apprehensive grandfather who refuses to put his past behind him.

Fugard, a prolific South African playwright, is best known for his work covering the political and social upheaval of the South African apartheid system. Some of his other plays include My Children! My Africa!, The Road to Mecca, Master Harold...and the Boys and The Blood Knot.

The cast of this two person production are Melita Hawkins as Veronica Jonkers and Manning Mpinduzi-Mott as the author/Abraam [sic] Jonkers.
