Drama critic Michael Feingold translated Schiller's retelling of intrigue and turbulence in the 16th Century English court. Queen Elizabeth faces the problem of her cousin, Mary, Queen of Scots, who stands accused of plotting Elizabeth's assassination and forcing the return of Catholicism. Whether or not and how guilty Mary actually is of these crimes haunts Elizabeth as she wrestles with Mary's order of execution.

René Augesen (It's My Party, Macbeth) is the title character with Caroline Lagerfelt (Outer Critics' Circle Award winner for Lend Me A Tenor) as her cousin, Elizabeth. Also in the cast are Peter Silbert, Douglas O. Lyons, Cristine McMurdo Wallis, Firdous Bamji, Richard Ziman, Tommy A. Gomez, Marco Barricelli, Dan Hiatt, Larry Paulsen, Richard Ooms, Adam Dworkis, Brooke Hardman and Michael Karl Lagerfelt.

Tickets are $52-$10. For tickets, call (617) 266-0800. Huntington Theatre Company is on the web at http://www.bu.edu/huntington.
