News Ikeda, Ellis, Holland and Walker Set for Dances with Shakespeare: A Midsummer Night's Dream The Shakespeare Society will team with the New York City Ballet for Dances with Shakespeare: A Midsummer Night's Dream, an evening of Balanchine and the Bard, on June 8.

Presented at the Kaye Playhouse, the 7 PM evening will feature scenes from Midsummer, performed by Aunjanue Ellis (Joe Turner's Come and Gone), Andre Holland (Joe Turner's Come and Gone), Jennifer Ikeda (Top Girls) and Benjamin Walker (Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson). New York City Ballet principal dancer Wendy Whelan will be joined by Antonio Carmena, Adam Hendrickson, Rebecca Krohn, Jennie Somogyi, Jonathan Stafford, Tyler Angle and Henry Seth to perform three correlating selections from George Balanchine's 1962 A Midsummer Night's Dream.

The evening will feature commentary by Westport Country Playhouse artistic director Mark Lamos (Cymbeline, Our Country's Good) and NYCB dancer Wendy Whelan.
