PlayBlog In Rehearsals With John Doyle's Ten Cents A Dance at Williamstown Theatre Festival (Video) Ten Cents a Dance, the new Rodgers and Hart musical crafted by Tony Award-winning director John Doyle, recently began its U.S. premiere at the Williamstown Theatre Festival Aug. 11.

Doyle, who won the Tony Award for his work on Sweeney Todd, stages the production as an actor-musician piece and recently talked with Playbill.com about his ideas behind the production and his experience in rehearsals. Ten Cents a Dance will run through Aug. 28 on the Williamstown main stage and is a co-presentation with the McCarter Theatre Center, where it will also run Sept. 9-Oct. 9.

The cast features Tony Award winner Donna McKechnie (A Chorus Line) as Miss Jones Five, Tony nominee Malcolm Gets (The Story of My Life) as Johnny, Lauren Molina (Sweeney Todd) as Miss Jones One, Jane Pfitsch (Company) as Miss Jones Two, Jessica Tyler Wright (Sweeney Todd) as Miss Jones Three and Diana DiMarzio (Sweeney Todd) as Miss Jones Four.
