A Contemporary Theatre artistic director Kurt Beattie directs Ayckbourn's farce, which began previews Aug. 15 and will continue through Sept. 14. Owen and Wright portray all six characters in the comedy that offers two different endings for each act. Thanks to a rotating schedule, audiences will have the opportunity to view the work in a new light on different evenings.
Intimate Exchanges, with its four possible endings, follows Celia, the long-suffering wife of bitter, hard-drinking headmaster Toby Teasdale, and her efforts to forge a life of her own.
Owen, who has appeared in ACT's The Women and Stuff Happens, portrays Sylvie, Celia and Irene, while Wright (Stuff Happens, The Pillowman) is cast as Lionel, Toby and Miles.
