News Jackie Mason: Trying Out to Play Emelin Theatre Dec. 20 Comedian Jackie Mason will spend an evening at Mamaroneck's Emelin Theatre to test new material on Dec. 20.

Mason — whose last New York solo show, Jackie Mason—The Ultimate Jew, was billed by producers as "his final NY one-man show, and unlike many of his colleagues (Streisand, Cher, etc) – he means it!!" — is back in the spotlight again.

Jackie Mason: Trying Out will offer an evening of new material from the comedian known for political satire, stand-up and observations about modern life. Show time is 8 PM.

Mason's Broadway appearances include Jackie Mason: Freshly Squeezed, Jackie Mason's Laughing Room Only, Prune Danish, Much Ado About Everything, Love Thy Neighbor, Jackie Mason: Politically Incorrect, Jackie Mason: Brand New, Jackie Mason's The World According to Me! and A Teaspoon Every Four Hours. He won a 1987 Special Tony Award for The World According to Me!

Mason will debut his new show, Not on Broadway, March 10-21, 2009, at Feinstein's at Loews Regency in Manhattan.
