PlayBlog James Earl Jones and Boyd Gaines Talk Driving Miss Daisy (Video) Tony Award winners James Earl Jones and Boyd Gaines discussed their upcoming roles in the first Broadway production of Alfred Uhry's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Driving Miss Daisy in two recent video interviews.

Jones will play Hoke, the longtime chauffeur to Southern matron Miss Daisy (played by Tony and Oscar winner Vanessa Redgrave). Gaines will play Daisy's son, Boolie.

Directed by David Esbjornson, the production will begin previews Oct. 7 with an official opening Oct. 25 at the John Golden Theatre. To watch the interviews, look below:
