News James Patterson and Kathy Voytko Will Be Husband and Wife in Maine State's Chamberlain: A Civil War Romance Casting has been announced for Maine State Music Theatre's production of Chamberlain: A Civil War Romance, which brings the life of Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain to the stage. Performances are scheduled for June 25-July 12.

Directed and choreographed by Marc Robin, the cast features James Patterson as Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain, Kathy Voytko as his wife Fannie Adams Chamberlain, Ben Mayne as John Chamberlain, Sam Weber as Tom Chamberlain, Mike Schwitter as Jebediah Logan and David Girolmo as Reverend Adams. Chamberlain was penned by Steven M. Alper (music) and Sarah Knapp (book and lyrics). The musical, according to press notes, "centers on his relationship with his wife, Fannie, and explores the trials and tribulations of a man committed to his family as well as his country."

The production also has music direction by Ray Fellman, scenic design by Robert Klingelhoefer, lighting design by Jeffrey S. Koger, costume design by Kurt Alger, sound by Colin Whitely and props by Kyle Melton. The stage manager is Mark Johnson, and the assistant stage manager is Amy M. Bertacini.
