News Jarrod Spector and Farah Alvin Will Go on Date of a Lifetime A private reading of the new musical Date of a Lifetime will be presented in Manhattan Sept. 17.

Tony winner Jerry Zaks is serving as creative consultant for the musical, which features a book and lyrics by Carl Kissin and music by Rob Baumgartner, Jr.

The reading will feature a cast led by Farah Alvin (It Shoulda Been You) and Jarrod Spector (Beautiful).

"Marvin and Katie have a fleeting encounter while speed dating. During their brief time together they each, in turn, imagine what their lives would be like if they allowed this momentary meeting to evolve to the next level," according to press notes. "Their decisions may determine their entire future and whether this will turn out to be a date from hell, or the date of a lifetime."

Producers are Michael Alden, George DeMarco, Frank Evans and Jack Lechner.
