News Jason Robert Brown's Songs for a New World to Receive 20th Anniversary Production at London's St. James Theatre Jason Robert Brown's song cycle Songs for a New World, which originally premiered Off-Broadway in 1995 when its writer was just 25, is to receive a 20th anniversary revival production at London's St. James Theatre, beginning performances July 22, prior to an official opening July 24, for a three week run through Aug. 8.

It will be directed by Adam Lenson. According to press materials, the show weaves characters, locations and time periods together in a journey through life-changing moments that define us. In Brown's words, "It's about one moment. It's about hitting the wall and having to make a choice, or take a stand, or turn around and go back."



The show received its British premiere at the Bridewell Theatre in 2001.
