Cody (Shrek, The Pajama Game, Urinetown) is cast as Miss Adelaide, with former Miss America Powell as Sarah Brown, Mahowald (9 to 5, Les Miserables) as Sky Masterson and Merchant as Nathan Detroit.

Roy Hamlin directs Guys and Dolls, which will run through Oct. 9 at the Hobby Center. The classic musical has music and lyrics by Loesser with a book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows.

The cast also features Cameron James (The Color Purple) as Nicely-Nicely Johnson, Ven Daniel (Legally Blonde) as Benny Southstreet, Brian Barry as Big Jule, Spencer Moses (2009 Broadway revival of Guys and Dolls) as Harry the Hourse, Kevin Cooney (White Christmas) as Arvide Abernathy, Lisa Landa as General Cartwright and Michael Tapley (The Who's Tommy) as Lt. Brannigan and Joey Biltmore.

The ensemble includes William James Daniels, Kurt Domoney, Matthew C. Donnell, Taurean Everett, Tony Guerrero, Brittany Halen, Mark Jackson, Jupinko, Alissa LaVergne, Ashley Lee, Nathan Madden, Brad Madison, Theresa Nelson, Eric S. Robertson, Michelle Smith, Steven Sofia, Eric Stretch, Jay Tribble, Kristin Warren, Erin Wasmund, Steven Wenslawski and Paige Wheat.

Paula Sloan choreographs Guys and Dolls, which has musical direction by Steven Jamail, scenic design by Kate Sutton-Johnson, sound design by Kit Bond, lighting design by Richard Winkler and assistant lighting design by Paul Hudson.
