News Jeremy Jordan, Ciara Renée, Ben Fankhauser Join 17-Piece Band at Tonight's Charlie Rosen's Broadway Big Band Concert Charlie Rosen's Broadway Big Band returns to the intimate Manhattan venue 54 Below Feb. 5 to kick off an official residence for 2015. Tony Award nominee Jeremy Jordan (Newsies, Bonnie & Clyde) and Ciara Renée (Pippin, Big Fish) make their Big Band debuts.

The 9:30 PM concert follows multiple sold-out engagements and is directed by Max Friedman.

The evening also features returning guest vocalists Nick Blaemire (Found, Godspell), Hannah Elless (Godspell, Bright Star), Ben Fankhauser (Newsies, Saturday Night), Julia Mattison (Godspell) and Margo Seibert (Rocky).

Friedman and Rosen co-produce.

According to press notes, "Join Broadway bandleader Charlie Rosen (Honeymoon In Vegas, One Man, Two Guvnors) for an evening that puts classic showtunes on display, sung by the best and brightest of Broadway's young generation of leading performers, in the timeless tradition of Big Band. A full sized jazz orchestra composed of 17 musicians play Rosen's re-imagined arrangements of an eclectic mix of tunes from Broadway's past, present, and beyond!"

Rosen is currently represented on Broadway by his contributions to the orchestrations for Jason Robert Brown's Honeymoon In Vegas, now playing at The Nederlander Theater. Rosen previously composed the score for Roundabout Theater Company's Cyrano de Bergerac and served as musical director and bassist for the onstage band in One Man, Two Guvnors on Broadway. His Broadway credits also include Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson and 13. With Friedman, he co-created the original Sondheim jazz revue The Bluest Ink. His debut EP, "Monet Sabel & The Charlie Rosen Big Band," is now available on iTunes. A single version of Rosen's arrangement of Adele's "Rolling In The Deep" (featuring Hannah Elless, Monet Julia Sabel and Alysha Umpress) is available as a free download on SoundCloud.
