The 50th anniversary of the award-winning musical will star the previously reported Alexandra Silber, Drama Desk Award winner and 2013 Tony nominee Santino Fontana and Tony nominee and Drama Desk Award winner Montego Glover.
That threesome will be joined by the newly announced Tony Award winner John Cullum, Ryan Silverman, Tony nominee Brad Oscar, Etai BenShlomo and Tony nominee Jonathan Freeman.
Tony winner Ted Sperling will lead the Orchestra of St. Luke’s and will direct the production in the Venetian Theater. Michele Lynch will choreograph.
With a score by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick and a book by Joe Masteroff, She Loves Me was first seen on Broadway in 1963. The musical is based on the play Parfumerie by Hungarian playwright Miklos Laszlo, which became the basis of the classic film "The Shop Around the Corner."
The musical, according to press notes, "follows Amalia and Georg, two feuding clerks in a European parfumerie during the 1930s who secretly find solace as anonymous romantic pen pals, little knowing their respective correspondents are actually each other!"
