Summoners Ensemble Theatre, in association with the Merchant’s House Museum, will present a return engagement of A Christmas Carol at the Merchant’s House November 30–December 27.

The solo show is performed by John Kevin Jones. Rhonda Dodd directs; the two collaborated to adapt Charles Dickens’ classic tale for the presentation.

A Christmas Carol at the Merchant’s House is set in December 1867 as playwright Dickens arrives in Manhattan for a month of sold-out performances of A Christmas Carol, entertaining patrons in the elegant Greek Revival parlor with his timeless tale.

The 60-minute performance is recommended for audiences ages 10 and over. Attendees will be surrounded by 19th century holiday decorations, flickering candles, and period furnishings, transporting them back in time to 150 years ago.

Merchant’s House Museum is located in Manhattan at 29 E. 4th St. Tickets, priced $45-$75, are available at SmartTix.com or by calling (212) 868-4444.
