The play "is an investigation of fear and how this emotion comes to determine each of the characters' destinies," according to production notes. The play centers on Jo (played by Randi Helmers), a kindergarten teacher whose world is suddenly invaded by an unwelcome reunion with her ex-husband, Dodge (played by Tom McCamus).
The others in her world include Aziz (Maurice Dean Wint), a recent immigrant to Canada, haunted by his past and concerned for his daughter's ongoing terrors; Minkle (Chick Reid), Jerry Joy's practical and fiercely protective friend; and Dr. Delphine Moth (Nancy Palk), who receives silent but terrifying phone calls.
Thompson, one of Canada's leading playwrights, penned White Biting Dog and The Crackwalker, I Am Yours, Lion in the Streets, Sled and Perfect Pie.
Designers are Sue LePage (set and costumes), Andrea Lundy (lighting), John Gzowski (sound).
