Faber and Faber will release the hardcover "Colored Lights: Forty Years of Words and Music, Show Biz, Collaboration, and All That Jazz" in November. The new book, written by the famed songwriting team, will chronicle their four-decade-long collaboration. The dual autobiography in dialogue — as told to Greg Lawrence — recounts the genesis of Cabaret, the superstar mentalities of Frank Sinatra and Barbara Streisand as well as their work with the late director-choreographer Bob Fosse. Featuring 16 pages of black-and-white photographs, the book also boasts an introduction by Liza Minnelli and a foreword by director Harold Prince.

For the theatre, John Kander and Fred Ebb have written the scores for Flora, the Red Menace; Cabaret; The Happy Time; Zorba; 70, Girls, 70; Chicago; The Act; Woman of the Year; The Rink; And the World Goes 'Round—The Kander & Ebb Musical; Kiss of the Spider Woman and Steel Pier. They are also currently working on a musical version of The Skin of Our Teeth, and their production of The Visit will play the Public Theater — starring Chita Rivera — in the fall.

Kander and Ebb are currently represented on Broadway with the Tony-winning revivals of Cabaret and Chicago.
