Kathy Najimy (Sister Act, Hocus Pocus) stars in an April 23 benefit reading of Lauren Gunderson’s Natural Shocks at the Minetta Lane Theatre. The 7:30 PM staged reading serves as a benefit for Ms. Foundation for Women, whose programs and grants address domestic violence and gun violence against women.

Described as “part confessional, part stand up, and part reckoning,” Natural Shocks is based on Hamlet’s “to be or not to be” speech.

The reading is part of the Natural Shocks National Project, a national campaign of theatre activism with royalty-free readings of the play taking place across the country.
