News Kevin Earley, Laura Hall and More Will Star in Alan Menken and Lynn Ahrens' Christmas Carol in Salt Lake City Pioneer Theatre Company will present A Christmas Carol, the musical based on the Charles Dickens classic that features a score by Tony-winning songwriters Alan Menken (Newsies) and Lynn Ahrens (Ragtime), beginning Nov. 30 at the Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre.

A Christmas Carol: The Musical, which also features a book by Ahrens and Mike Ockrent, will continue through Dec. 15 in Salt Lake City.

Directed and choreographed by Karen Azenberg, the cast features Ephie Aardema as Christmas Past, Anson Bagley as Tiny Tim, Jaron Barney as Young Marley, Ginger Bess as Hag, Kevin Earley (A Tale of Two Cities) as Cratchit, Ashley Gardner Carlson as Sally, Laura Hall (Wonderland) as Emily, Geoffrey Hemingway as Young Scrooge, Justin Ivie as Old Joe/Marley, Jamie Jackson as Ebenezer Scrooge, Robert Anthony Jones as Beadle/Fezziwig, Christian Labertew as Jonathan, Noah Mayfield as Scrooge at 8, Gerry McIntyre (Once On This Island) as Ghost of Christmas Present, Abigail Scott as Grace, Shalee Mortensen Schmidt as Mrs. Cratchit, Keala Settle (Priscilla Queen of the Desert) as Mrs. Fezziwig, Daniel T. Simons as Smythe, Austin John Smith as Fred, Emily Terran as Fan and Fynn White as Scrooge at 12.

According to PTC, this version of A Christmas Carol "provides a wonderfully fresh look at the story of Ebenezer Scrooge and the ghostly visits he receives one Christmas Eve. Originally produced at Madison Square Garden in New York City, this new musical of a beloved Christmas tale is sure to provide a festive evening of entertainment for the whole family."

Rounding out the ensemble are Jessica Azenberg, Jessica Blair, Ian Doherty, Cecily Ellis-Bills, Alexandra Hicken, David Guy Holmes, Jeff Kuhr, Gregory Neff, Adam Pellegrine, Maggie Scott, Lenny Daniel and Nikol Wolf.

Other members of the creative team include music director Tom Griffin, set designer George Maxwell, costume designer Carol Wells-Day, lighting designer Phil Monat, sound designer Matthew Tibbs, hair and makeup designer Amanda French, dramaturg Wade Hollingshaus, dialect coach Sarah Shippobotham, assistant director/choreographer Lenny Daniel, child director Liz Ostler, production stage manager Jeffrey Stewart Williams and stage manager Mary P.
