Classic Arts News Kirov's London Season Features Works by William Forsythe The Kirov Ballet will perform a program of works by American choreographer William Forsythe in their summer season at the Royal Opera House.
The season opens tonight and runs through July 30; the Forsythe program will be presented twice on July 24.

The company, renowned for its classical repertory, will take on three ballets by the unconventional choreographer: Steptext; Two Ballets in the Manner of the Late 20th Century (with its two movements "Approximate Sonata" and "The Vertiginous Thrill of Exactitude"); and In the middle, somewhat elevated.

The ballet company's London season also includes performances of Swan Lake, Romeo and Juliet, La Bayadre, and a program of Balanchine works.
