The single CD, which was recorded live in October, is entitled "The Laziest Gal in Town" and is due in stores July 15. Among the song titles are "Laziest Gal In Town," "A Little Brains A Little Talent," "Zip" (performed as "Tweet" with special lyrics written by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman), "An Englishman Needs Time," "13 Men," "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend," "Let's Face the Music and Dance" and "Rubber Duckie," among others.
Krakowski is backed by a quintet led by musical director-pianist Michael Kosarin.
In a previous statement, singer-actress Krakowski said, "I've never felt anything so exciting as when this unanimous gasp came from the audience. That's why I love doing live theatre more than anything: You get an immediate reaction, whether it's good or bad."
A Tony Award winner for her work in Nine, Jane Krakowski was previously seen on Broadway in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Starlight Express and the Roundabout revival of Stephen Sondheim's Company. She also appeared in the original cast of Grand Hotel, but may be best known for her work on TV's "Ally McBeal" and, now, "30 Rock." Krakowski was also part of the City Center Encores! Summer Stars production of Damn Yankees.
The recording, priced $15.98, is currently available for pre-sale by visiting www.drgrecords.com.
