News Krieger to Debut "Dreamgirls" Film Songs at New Mondays Oct. 16; Faith Prince Guests The New Mondays series, which presents new compositions from established and up-n-coming composers, continues Oct. 16 at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.

The 7 PM performance will boast the work of Lina Koutrakos, Craig Safan, Adam Wagner and Dreamgirls composer Henry Krieger. Krieger will debut two songs from the upcoming film of his award-winning musical. Tony Award winner Faith Prince will be the evening's special guest vocalist.

Faith Prince won a Tony Award for her performance as Adelaide in the Broadway revival of Guys and Dolls and starred Off-Broadway in the Lincoln Center production of A Man of No Importance. Her numerous Broadway credits also include Noises Off, Bells Are Ringing, James Joyce's The Dead, Little Me, The King and I, What's Wrong with This Picture?, Nick & Nora and Jerome Robbins' Broadway. Her solo recording, "Leap of Faith," was recorded live at Joe's Pub and is available from DRG Records.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located within the West Bank Café at 407 West 42nd Street. There is a $12 cover charge and a $15 food-drink minimum; call (212) 695-6909 for reservations.

The New Mondays series will continue Oct. 23 with composers Maria Gentile, Laurence O'Keefe, John McMahon and Brett Kristofferson.
