In New York City, each week a different company takes a turn presenting a week's worth of plays.
Week 14 happens to include eight plays:
The Day After President's Day Sale, directed by Michael Goldfried According to press notes, the plays include "a fantasia about the birth of Abraham Lincoln; an absurdist gun-shadowed romance (for Valentine’s Day!); a Billie Holliday-style blues singer's tribute to her new love, a pig farmer; and a Presidents' Day Sale unlike any other."
The presentation features production design by Jacob A. Climer and lighting design by Josh Bradford.
LaChiusa is the composer of The Wild Party, Marie Christine, Chronicle of a Death Foretold, Hello Again, See What I Wanna See, Bernarda Alba, Little Fish and First Lady Suite.
