LOS ANGELES -- Theatre Neo, successor to the resident company at the former Theatre Geo, has taken up residence at the Hudson Avenue Theatre, where it is presenting Neo Confidentials, a bill of one-act plays, every Tuesday night through Oct. 10.

Produced by Rachel Winfree and Stefan Umstead, the production offers six new works by such writers as Anne Mattingly, Carolyn Carpenter, Alex Dremann, David Watts, Theresa Rebeck (A View of the Dome) and Stace McQueen.

"Theatre Neo is comprised of approximately 210 actors, writers and directors working together to promote growth in their craft while furthering their professional careers in theatre, television and film," said a company spokesperson. "In order to select plays for its productions, the company holds regular book-in-hand readings of new plays selected by the reading committee, which are then voted on by company members."

Future plans include offering free workshops to the public in such related areas as children's theatre, improvisation, marketing for the actor, as well as outreach programs which will take actors into the community and help other nonprofit organizations.

Neo Confidentials is performed at 8 PM every Tuesday night at the Hudson, 1110 N. Hudson Ave. Tickets are $12. Call (213) 769-5858. -- By Willard Manus
