Jimmy Webb and Glen Campbell wrap their special engagement at Feinstein’s at The Regency on May 20.
Guitarist and singer Campbell and songwriter/musical theatre composer Webb helped shape the direction of popular music over the past four decades. They were responsible for such hits as "The Wichita Lineman" and "By the Time I Get to Phoenix." Webb's songs have been recorded by dozens of artists and Campbell featured his works on 18 separate albums. In the '60s, Webb also contributed to the early success of the Fifth Dimension and wrote their hit, "Up, Up and Away," which was also the title of a Webb-themed musical which was produced at the Paper Mill Playhouse.
On opening night, May 16, Webb told Playbill On-Line that he was working on a musical version of A Bronx Tale with Chazz Palminteri.
Already established as one of the most respected songwriters in popular music, Webb has worked with artists ranging from Frank Sinatra to Reba McEntire and continues to explore a variety of musical theatre projects.
