Sunday, Oct. 25: Kick off your Halloween week with an evening in honor of everybody's favorite spooky film, "Practical Magic." Joe's Pub hosts The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre, a variety/comedy show featuring special guests Bridget Barkan, Isaac Oliver, Angela DiCarlo, Salty Brine, Carol Lipnik and Marc Dommu. Tickets $20; 9:30 PM. 

Alternatively, head over to the The Laurie Beechman theatre and see some of Broadway's best understudies sharing their talents. The sixth edition of Half Hour: A Last Minute Concert sees the audience voting on what song each performer sings. Tickets from $10; 9:30 PM. 

Monday, Oct. 26: The Broadway at Birdland concert series continues with the first episode of theatre journalist Frank DiLella's live talkshow "Show Biz After Hours," to be filmed and aired on Time Warner Cable’s On Demand System. To launch the new program, DiLella invites Bandstand stars Laura Osnes and Corey Cott. Tickets from $30; 7 PM. 

Tuesday, Oct. 27: The weather may be cooling down but things are heating up at The McKittrick Hotel this week. The New Orleans-based Preservation Hall Jazz Band returns following a sold-out residency at the venue in 2013. The celebrated group is playing a limited engagement only. Tickets begin at $65 and the concerts are running through Oct. 31 with varying start times. Wednesday, Oct. 28: Get over your mid-week hump day with Kitten and Lou's Overexposed show at Joe's Pub. Self-described as a "bodacious burlesque star and a diminutive drag king," the duo promise to dance, lip sync and strip their way through the evening. Tickets from $20; 9:30 PM. 

Thursday, Oct. 29: Mix things up with a little comedy on your Thursday. Comedian Catie Lazarus hits the stage at Joe's Pub with her acclaimed show, Employee of the Month. Included among her guests are "How I Met Your Mother"'s Josh Radnor and soul singer Inyang Bassey. Tickets from $20; 9 PM. 

Friday, Oct. 30: Feinstein’s/54 Below presents Ghost Light: Songs and Creepy Stories From Broadway and Beyond to Get You in the Halloween Spirit, starring Tony winner Daisy Eagan (The Secret Garden), Christina Sajous (SpiderMan: Turn Off The Dark), Doreen Montalvo (On Your Feet!, In The Heights), Keala Settle (Waitress) and Stacy Sullivan. Amazing Grace's Dan Pardo serves as music director. Tickets from $30; 11:30 PM. 

Saturday, Oct. 31: Kick on in the Halloween spirit with another spooky treat from Feinstein’s/54 Below: Into Sweeney Todd's Woods. The evening celebrates two of Stephen Sondheim's most popular musicals, hosted by Phil Geoffrey Bond from Sondheim Unplugged and featuring special guest Sarah Rice, who originated the role of Johanna in the Broadway staging of Sweeney Todd. Tickets from $35; 9:30 PM.
