PlayBlog Lee Lessack KickStarts Funding Campaign for "Chanteur" Recording MAC and Bistro Award-winning concert artist Lee Lessack is launching a KickStarter campaign to raise funds for a recording of his recent concert, "Chanteur."

The singer has gone to the online fundraising site hoping to find a third of the money needed for the project, which will feature a selection of French songs by composers including Charles Aznavour, Jacques Brel, Gilbert Becaud and Michel Legrand. The recording will be arranged by John Boswell and is expected to include piano, percussion and string accompaniment.

Lessack said in a note on KickStarter, "We plan to go into the studio next month and with your help, we will have one heck of an exciting holiday this season!"

Lessack's previous recordings include "In Good Company," "Too Marvelous for Words: The Songs of Johnny Mercer," "I Know You By Heart" and the cast recording of "An Enchanted Evening: The Music of Broadway."
