News   Leslie Kritzer Will Make a Splash April 25
Broadway singer-actress Leslie Kritzer, who can currently be seen Off-Broadway in the musical revue Newsical, will go it solo at Splash Bar April 25.

As part of the Curtain Call series at the popular dance club, Kritzer will perform a full set of theatre tunes following the weekly "Musical Mondays" video presentations of Broadway performances. Kritzer's concert is scheduled for 11:30 PM. Emily McNamara will be the evening's host. A graduate of the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, Kritzer has appeared on Broadway in Hairspray, as well as the original casts of Legally Blonde, A Catered Affair and, most recently, Sondheim on Sondheim.She earned a 2009 Outer Critics Circle Award nomination for her work Off-Broadway in Rooms: A Rock Romance. A Special Achievement MAC Award winner for her show Leslie Kritzer Is Patti LuPone at Les Mouches, Kritzer was Drama Desk-nominated for her performance Off-Broadway in The Great American Trailer Park Musical. She also played Fanny Brice in the acclaimed Paper Mill Playhouse production of Funny Girl.

Kritzer will also return to Joe's Pub in May with an all-new show. Entitled Beautiful Disaster, performances are scheduled for May 1 and 2 at 9:30 PM. Co-written by Randy Blair (Fat Camp, Perez Hilton Saves the Universe, Spidermusical) and Kritzer, the evenings will feature a four-piece band led by music director/pianist Vadim Feichtner (Spelling Bee, Elegies). Audiences can expect to hear the music of Madonna, Guns n Roses, Alanis Morrisette, Katy Perry, Jane's Addiction, Snoop Dogg, Tori Amos and Stephen Sondheim.

Splash Bar is located in Manhattan at 50 W. 17th Street. Admission is free until 10 PM; there is a $5 charge after that time. Attendees must be 21 or older with identification.
