News Let It Be Extends West End Run at Savoy Theatre Through February 2014; U.K./Ireland Tour to Follow Let It Be, the Beatles tribute show that recently celebrated its first birthday at the West End's Savoy Theatre, has announced that it has now extended its run there through Feb. 8, 2014, and will then embark on its first U.K and Irish tour.

The tour will begin performances Feb. 28 at the Palace Theatre, Manchester, prior to an official opening March 3.

According to press materials, the tour will play the length and breadth of the U.K and Ireland, "echoing The Beatles' own early UK tours." After Manchester, it will visit Torquay, Birmingham, Sunderland, Stoke, Liverpool, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Bristol, Southampton, Cardiff, Northampton, Edinburgh, Belfast, Dublin, Sheffield and Southend.

At the Liverpool Empire, the Mayflower Theatre in Southampton and the Princess Theatre in Torquay, Let It Be will play on the very same stages that The Beatles played on their 1963 U.K. tour. In fact, The Beatles played the Liverpool Empire five times in all, in 1963 (three times), 1964 and 1965.

Several of the original London cast will tour with the show, with some new faces joining. The full company will be announced shortly. The U.K. tour is produced by Jamie Hendry Productions and Annerin Productions.
