Joining Schonfeld at the 7:30 PM concert are Lilli Cooper (Spring Awakening), Adam Kantor (Rent) and Morgan James (Godspell) with John Clancy on drums, Richard Hammond on bass, Matt Beck on guitars and keyboard and Ben Butler on guitar.
"Iron & Coal," described as "an intimate musical journey through the Holocaust's lingering emotional wounds on a survivor and his son," is available on Amazon and iTunes.
The evening also includes songs from Schonfeld's previously released albums "37 Notebooks" and "Drift," as well as previously unreleased originals and songs from forthcoming projects.
Schonfeld has contributed original music for numerous benefit concerts including Defying Inequality, Broadway in South Africa, The Pink Campaign on Broadway and Broadway for a New America, among others. He has performed at Madison Square Garden, Birdland, Joe’s Pub, BB Kings, The Public Theater, Symphony Space, Lincoln Center, the Upright Cabaret in Los Angeles and 14th Street Playhouse in Atlanta, as well as in Boston University’s “BU on Broadway” series.
