The presentations at 3 PM June 5-6 include highlights from "the outstanding shows that lit up John Lindsay's years as Mayor of New York City." Michael Montel wrote and directed, and Lawrence Yurman provides musical direction and arrangements. John Lindsay was dubbed the "Broadway Mayor" and was considered a great friend of the theatre. He was responsible for helping to create the Special Theater Zoning District and the TKTS discount tickets booth.
Expect highlights from Chicago (which emerged outside of the Lindsay tenure, technically), Follies, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, Seesaw, Hair and Skyscraper.
Razzle Dazzle marks the start of the seventh year of the museum's popular Perform! Series. MCNY is at 1220 Fifth Avenue.
Tickets are available at $15 for Museum members, seniors and students; $20 for the general public; $75 for sponsor tickets, which will include preferred seating.
Order tickets www.mcny.org or call (212) 534-1672, extension 3395.
