The film's new song "Listen" also earned a "Hot Shot Debut" on The Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. Over on the Top Cast Album chart, the original cast recording of the Broadway musical — featuring Loretta Devine, Jennifer Holliday and Sheryl Lee Ralph — is enjoying a rebirth. Both the Decca Broadway original 1982 release as well as the recent Hip-O/Geffen special edition both hit their second week on the chart.
