The production will begin performances Sept. 23, prior to an official opening Sept. 28, for a run through Oct. 31.

Also in the company are Amy Diamond (a finalist in the BBC's "Over the Rainbow" reality TV search for Dorothy) as starlet-turned-bride Janet and Matthew Lloyd Davies (Chicago and The Lion King in the West End) as the Man in Chair, joined by Gavin Keenan as George, Graham Lappin as Mr. Feldzeig, Ursula Mohan as Mrs. Tottendale, Jo Parsons and Giovanni Spano as the Gangsters, John Rawnsley as Underling and Tanya Robb as Kitty.

The production marks the first time that the 2006 Tony-winning musical has been produced in London since its abbreviated West End transfer at the Novello Theatre in 2007. The musical, written by Lisa Lambert, Don McKellar, Bob Martin and Greg Morrison, won Tony Awards for both Best Book of a Musical and Best Original Score. Although it ran for 674 performances during its original Broadway run at the Marquis Theatre between April 2006 and December 2007, and also took Tonys for actress Beth Leavel, scenic designer David Gallo and costume designer Gregg Barnes, its transfer to the West End's Novello in June 2007 ran for less than two months.

According to press materials, The Drowsy Chaperone begins when a die-hard musical fan plays his favorite cast album, a 1928 smash hit called The Drowsy Chaperone, and the show magically bursts to life.
