News Love 'N' Courage Benefit to Celebrate Wallach, Jackson and Coigney Veteran stage couple Eli Wallach and Anne Jackson will be honored alongside Martha Coigney as part of the Theater for the New City's seventh annual Love 'N' Courage benefit on Feb. 22, 2010.

Tony-nominated playwright Charles Busch will host the evening at the National Arts Club in Gramercy Park. The event celebrates Wallach and Jackson's contribution to the stage, as well as the work of former International Theatre Institute U.S. director Coigney.

Scheduled to fete the trio are Tony-winning actresses Elaine Stritch, Marian Seldes and Tammy Grimes, as well as Tony winner Chuck Cooper, Terri White, Laura Linney, Romulus Linney, Academy Award winner F. Murray Abraham, Betsy von Furstenberg, Phoebe Legere and tango dancers Daniel Fetecua-Soto and Anna Amadei.

Finian's Rainbow cast members Cooper and White are slated to perform "The Begat" and "Necessity," respectively.

Married 60 years, Wallach and Jackson have performed together on Broadway numerous times in such productions as King Henry VIII, Yellow Jack, Rhinoceros, Twice Around the Park and The Flowering Peach, among others. Wallach is a Tony award winner for his work in The Rose Tattoo.

The celebration will begin with cocktails at 6:30 PM, dinner at 7 PM and performances at 8 PM. All proceeds benefit the Emerging Playwrights' Program at Theater for the New City. For tickets, priced $125, phone (212) 254-1109 or visit TheaterfortheNewCity.
