He was a successful television writer, but what he really wanted was to have sex with supermodel Heidi Klum.

That's the premise of Love, a new play that marks the theatrical debut of longtime television writer David S. Rosenthal. It began performances Off-Broadway at the East 13th Street Theatre, Sept. 4. Opening night was scheduled for Sept. 13, but owing to the terrorist attacks on NYC's World Trade Center on Sept. 11, Love's debut was pushed to Sept. 18.

Rosenthal's play is autobiographical. One day the wealthy and successful married man, who was the executive producer of Spin City, woke up and realized the only thing he wanted in life was Klum.

Directed by Dan Fields, the two-character play stars Kate Miller (Amadeus) and Ty Jones (Judgment at Nuremberg). The design team is Michael Brown (scenic), Russell H. Champa (lighting) and Louisa Thompson (costume).
