News Macbeth Gets Naked in New York City Through this weekend, the Andorra Theatre Company will be re-imagining Macbeth in a super-minimalist dress code that the Bard probably never envisioned.

Though it is not likely to outshine Naked Boys Singing! in the Off-Broadway nudity game, 12 male actors are supposedly bearing it all in Naked Macbeth: The Stripped-Down Retelling of a Classic at the Producers Club.   Although the actors do not appear nude for the entire course of the tragedy, audiences, upon entering the theater, are reportedly greeted with the sight of three males lying naked on the stage. Production notes offer the following reasoning for director Russell Taylor's adaptation:  "And when we have our naked frailties hid that suffer in exposure, let us meet and question this most bloody piece of work to know it further."

The cast includes Jack McGowan, Victor Fischbarg, Ryan Metzger, Gary Patent, Mike Skillem, Moti Margolin, Adam Zuniga, Cameron Caley, Nathan Perry, Jonty Valentine, Chris Scocca, and Tanner Max.

Performances are Thursday through Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 2 and 7pm. Call 212-352-3101 for $30 tickets. For more info, visit www.nakedmacbeth.com.
