El Buen Canario is scheduled to play a ten-week limited engagement at Mexico City's Teatro de Los Insurgentes beginning Nov. 26.

Mexican actor Diego Luna, who has been seen in the films "Y Tu Mama Tambien" and "The Terminal," will head the cast. Luna also starred in a limited run of Festen in 2006 in Mexico City. Luna will be joined onstage by Daniel Gimenez Cacho, Bruno Bichir, Irene Azuela and Yuriria del Valle.

El Buen Canario, according to press notes, "follows a frustrated writer struggling with his wife's addiction to amphetamines."

Playwright Helm also penned the screenplay for "Stranger Than Fiction."

He played a version of himself in 1999's surreal "Being John Malkovich." Tickets will be available beginning Oct. 28 by visiting www.ticketmaster.com.mx or by calling (55)53 25 9000.
