The cast will feature Marc Kudisch, Bobby Steggert, Kate Fry, Liz Baltes and Drew Gehling.

Based on George Bernard Shaw's Candida, the musical received its premiere at the Writer's Theatre in Glencoe, IL, in May 2009. Writer's Theatre artistic director Michael Halberstam, who conceived the production and staged the premiere, will helm the New York bow of the musical.

The play, according to Lincoln Center Theater, "explores the fires burning beneath the surface of a seemingly ordinary marriage. The Revered James Morell (to be played by Marc Kudisch) and his wife, Candida (Kate Fry), are happily married – or at least they think – until a romantic young poet (Bobby Steggert) enters their life."

Tony-nominated actor and director Pendleton, who also wrote Orson's Shadow and Uncle Bob, penned the adaptation of Shaw's original 1898 version of Candida with a score by Adding Machine composer Schmidt and lyrics by Tranen.

Tickets, priced at $75 and $85, will be available beginning March 20 at the Lincoln Center Theater box office (150 West 65 Street), at telecharge.com or by visiting LCT.
