Mazzie will once again play the role of Kathy Halverson on an episode entitled "Still Standing." The new comedy features Mark Addy and Jami Gertz as the blue-collar Chicago Bill and Judy. According to production notes, the upcoming episode is described thusly: "When the Halverson's belittle Bill and Judy's ability to contribute to the school's silent auction, the Millers retaliate by coming up with the hit item." Mary Hart — of "Entertainment Tonight" fame — and "Saturday Night Live" star Kevin Nealon also guest on the Oct. 18 broadcast. "Still Standing" airs Mondays on CBS at 8 PM/ET; check local listings. The production is produced by Twentieth Century Fox Television in association with CBS Productions. Diane Burroughs and Joey Gutierrez are the program's executive producers.
A three-time Tony Award nominee for her performances in Kiss Me, Kate; Ragtime; and Passion, Marin Mazzie's other theatrical credits include Into the Woods, Big River, The World Goes 'Round, the City Center Encores! production of Out of this World and Off-Broadway's The Trojan Women: A love Story, where she met husband Jason Danieley. Mazzie also starred in the London production of Kiss Me, Kate, where she earned an Olivier Award nomination for her work.
