Directed by artistic director David Saint, performances will continue through Dec. 22.

Thomas is joined by Greg Mullavey ("I-Carly," "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman"), Jim Stanek (Freud’s Last Session, The Story of My Life, Lestat) and Kate Wetherhead (Legally Blonde, "Submissions Only").

Clever Little Lies was originally announced for the New Jersey venue's 2012 season but was postponed when Thomas landed a recurring role in the now-canceled "The New Normal."

“After postponing this play last season, I am thrilled that Marlo will return to George Street for her third appearance on our stage, in a world premiere by the wonderful Joe DiPietro,” said Saint in a recent statement. “They are both remarkable artists and I look forward to welcoming them here once again.”

As Clever Little Lies begins, press notes state, "Bill Jr. and his father, Bill are in the locker room discussing their just-completed game. Bill Jr. is distracted, off his game and seemingly under pressure. A confidence shared between father and son sets events into motion in which secrets are exposed and clever little lies are crafted, escalating into an unexpected revelation that could change everything."

The production also has scenic design by Yoshi Tanokura, costume design by Esther Arroyo, lighting design by Christopher J. Bailey and original music/sound design by Scott Killian. The production stage manager is Kyle Gates.
